Celebrate Samhain at the Monastery, Manchester
2-4pm, Sunday 3rd November, 2024
Samhain is translated from old Irish as ‘summers end’. Is the festival that marks the transition from summer to winter, and the end of one year and the beginning of the next. As the trees are shedding their leaves and the last of the harvest has been brought in, this is a time of death and rebirth and clearing and cleansing to make way for the new. It is a time to choose those seeds that you are going to take through into the darkness to gestate.
What can I expect?
Join us in this transitional space when the veil between the worlds is thin, and the connection with the Otherworld is at its strongest. During our time together, led by Nicola & Jason from The Way of the Buzzard, there will be moments for connection, reflection and sharing, as well as singing and drumming together in community.
- Immerse in the energies of Samhain and prepare yourself to drop into winter
- Connect with nature’s rhythms, and align with the natural world’s stillness
- Tap into an ancient way of being with like-minded people to tune into your spiritual guidance
Who should attend?
This celebration is perfect if you:
- Are looking to align yourself more with the natural cycles of nature
- Would like to deepen your experience working with the shamanic and nature connection toolkit
- Are an ‘old hand’ at all of this but would like to celebrate Samhain with likeminded folk
- Are a first-timer and keen to give it a go
Do I need any special experience, clothing or equipment?
- You don’t need any experience in anything whatsoever to take part
- If you have a drum or rattle, bring it along with you
- Bring your journal or notepad and something to write with
A few words from your hosts
“We, Jason and Nicola Smalley, are edge dwellers and Shamanic Practitioners living in the Silverdale AONB in the northwest of England.
For the past twenty years, we have been individually seeking a spiritual connection that is aligned with our core beliefs and values. This search led us to discover shamanism, and ultimately to each other. The Way of the Buzzard became our voice in the World.
Over recent years we have taught thousands of people the power of the shamanic toolkit and nature connection. We support others on their healing journey to find their purpose and their path through online courses, retreats, monthly shamanic journey circles, nature connection films and sacred tools.
When we aren’t working, we can both be found roaming the local crags, coast, woodlands and meadows in our locale.
Our passion is anything connected to nature and the mysteries of the Earth.”
