Mozart Concert at The Monastery: Manchester Camerata with Pianist Ethan Loch

Wed 19th November, 2025, 2:30pm

Experience a unique and inspiring afternoon of Mozart and live classical music in Manchester, as Manchester Camerata returns to the breathtaking Great Nave of The Monastery Manchester for a concert that celebrates Mozart’s brilliance and the beauty of shared performance.

Pianist Ethan Loch makes his third appearance with the orchestra, performing Mozart’s radiant Quintet for Piano and Winds in E-flat major, K.452 – a work the composer himself described as “the best thing I have written in my life.”

This joyful and expressive masterpiece unites piano, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon in perfect harmony, each instrument shining equally before joining in a rare, five-instrument cadenza that celebrates collaboration and creativity.

The concert also features Ethan’s own compositions, Sounds of the Sea (including Family of Fishes and The Coral Reef), alongside a one-of-a-kind improvisation on a theme of Mozart – created live in the moment and never to be heard the same way again.

Set within the soaring neo-Gothic architecture of The Monastery, this Mozart concert in Manchester promises a spellbinding experience where world-class musicianship meets sacred space and timeless sound.
