Medicinal and Edible Herbs Workshop at The Monastery Manchester

Discover the healing power of nature in this free, hands-on Medicinal and Edible Herbs Workshop at The Monastery Manchester. Led by experienced forager and nature connection practitioner Leonie Morris, this unique experience explores the traditional uses of herbs and plants for wellbeing.

Inspired by the legacy of the Franciscan Friars and their community gardens, this small-group workshop invites participants on a practical journey through the Monastery’s peace and healing gardens.


What to expect

· A short, welcoming talk in the indoor Community Hub*

· A guided tour of the Monastery garden and poly-tunnel, where guests will see, smell, and sample the herbs being cultivated

· An introduction to the history and modern-day uses of edible and medicinal plants

· Storytelling and insights from Leonie Morris, who will share how these ancient remedies continue to support wellness today

*Please note: The Community Hub is currently inaccessible for those with limited mobility. Outdoor portions of the workshop will require warm clothing and practical footwear.
