Gorton Philharmonic Orchestra Christmas Concert with Carols

Join us at Manchester’s modern-day Monastery for a selection of seasonal and light music with a Scandinavian theme performed by Gorton Philharmonic Orchestra.

As usual, the programme will include popular audience participation carols. Come and enjoy the festivities with mince pies and mulled wine in the inspirational surroundings of The Monastery.

The Gorton Philharmonic Orchestra, Manchester (UK), an amateur symphony orchestra, was formed by the Gorton Philharmonic Society in 1854, three years before Manchester’s Hallé Orchestra. The orchestra now has a regular venue here at The Monastery for concerts in December and July each year. These are popular concerts and usually sell-out well before the concert date.
