The Monastery Series | String Quartet: Death & The Maiden

Wednesday, 4th March, 2026

Manchester Camerata orchestra are hosting a series of lunchtime concerts here at their home, The Monastery in Gorton, supported by their good friends at Classic FM. These intimate performances allow our community to experience incredible music in a relaxed, inspiring, and historic setting.

This lunchtime concert is performed by the Camerata’s string principals and programmed by Will Newell, Principal 2nd Violin. This piece has been named “one of the pillars of the chamber music repertoire“.
