NEW @ the Sanctuary | Self-Help Group for Anxiety & Depression
We’re happy to share some important news about a NEW anxiety and depression drop-in service that’s starting here, at the Sanctuary, on Monday.
Launching at 10AM on MONDAY 8 NOVEMBER, the new drop-in group will be a FREE service for the Manchester community.
Run by Charmain Berry, psychotherapist and one of our co-founders, the group will offer help to anybody who may be struggling with symptoms related to anxiety and/or depression.
The Sanctuary’s Self-Help Group for Anxiety and Depression
Watch Charmain Berry introduce the new self-help group and explain how it can help you.
What are anxiety and depression symptoms?
Symptoms of anxiety can include feeling stressed, worried, and that you cannot cope. Symptoms can also be nervousness, overthinking, experiencing panic attacks, or heart palpitations.
Symptoms of depression might mean you feel in a low mood or feel like you’ve lost your confidence, so yourself esteem is running low. Depression can also mean that you have trouble sleeping well.
Who is the group for?
It’s open to anybody who may be struggling with symptoms related to anxiety and/or depression.
Anxiety and depression symptoms can have a big impact on our lives, so we’ve designed a drop-in group for anyone who feels like they could do with some help.
What kind of help can I expect?
The group is here to help people find an environment where we can share a little of our stories.
Charmain will share useful interventions and techniques that you can do yourself – that will really help you to manage your symptoms.
Do I need an appointment to come to the drop-in?
No, you don’t need an appointment. You can just drop-in.
If you’ve decided to come and can let us know in advance, email us at [email protected]. This will help us plan our sessions.
The drop-in group will start at 10.00am (and finish at 11.30am) on Monday 8 November. Then it will run each Monday until 13 December.
Please share this information with anyone you think it might help.
