Join author Pamela Young for the launch of her new book, Big Sister, at The Monastery Manchester.
During this special event, Pamela will be in conversation with The Monastery’s CEO, Elaine Griffiths OBE, sharing the story behind the book and reflecting on the role the Monastery has played in its development over the past 20 years. The morning will also include a reading from Big Sister, followed by an opportunity to meet the author at a book signing.
Everyone is warmly welcome to attend this free event.

About the Event
Big Sister is Pamela Young’s latest book; a novel that explores themes of spirituality, personal transformation and humanity’s future through the story of Serena, an ordinary woman whose lifelong spiritual experiences lead her on an extraordinary journey.
During the launch, Pamela will discuss the inspiration behind the book, the two decades spent writing it, and the experiences that shaped its creation. She will also share why the Monastery has played such an important part in bringing the book to publication.
Following the launch, guests are invited to the Old Refectory Café to meet Pamela, have their books signed and enjoy the opportunity to continue the conversation over complimentary tea, coffee and cake.

About Pamela Young
Pamela Young is a retired social worker from Horwich, Greater Manchester, where she lives with her husband, Simon.
A long-standing volunteer and supporter of The Monastery, Pamela enjoys visiting sacred places and going on pilgrimages. She has spent many years exploring spirituality through daily meditation, with many of the ideas that inspired Big Sister developing over the past two decades.
Pamela is also the author of Hope Street: The True Story of a Family with a Spiritual Gift and Bringing Death to Life: An Uplifting Exploration of Living, Dying, the Soul Journey and the Afterlife.
