About this event

A welcoming space to fix, learn and connect.

Bring along your broken-but-beloved items and discover the joy of repair at the Monastery’s new community Repair Café. This is a friendly, relaxed gathering where fixing replaces throwing away and skills are shared freely over conversation and collaboration.

A Repair Café isn’t a shop. It’s a community space where volunteers with practical know-how help you repair everyday items, from clothes and small household appliances to electronics, bikes and small pieces of furniture. The focus is on learning together, so you’re encouraged to get involved, ask questions and pick up new skills along the way. Repairs are free or low-cost, making it accessible for everyone.

What to expect

→ A warm, informal atmosphere
→ Skilled volunteers offering guidance and support
→ Hands-on learning as you take part in repairs
→ Tea, chat and community connection
→ A chance to give your items a second life

Why visit the Repair Café?

Repair Cafés strengthen communities in so many ways. They help reduce waste, save money, pass on practical skills and bring neighbours together. Most importantly, they encourage a culture of reuse and care for our planet.

Small fixes. Big impact.
